Oh, happy fun time! What web site wouldn't be complete without
a
FAQ that most people won't even read?
Q: What's with the weird names of stuff on the index page.
A: Frankly, it's because I'm a weird guy. It's also just a half-assed attempt at creativity and avoid words already used by the hundred million-some-odd fan sites out there dedicated to a particular fan's favorite game.Q: You misspelled 'complete.'
A: First off, this isn't a question - it's a statement. Can't anybody follow simple directions anymore? Anyway... 'compleat' is an archaic spelling of 'complete.' I thought it suited the medieval spirit of Brigandine.Q: Why doesn't your site have a lot of special HTML, cool IE frames, shockwave movies, animated gifs that kind of stuff.
A: Because, like many people in the world, these things contain ephemeral elements pleasing to certain senses, but are ultimately lacking in any extant value. Besides, I'm striving for a more rustic feel for these pages.Q: Why do you like this game so much?
A: Well, I'm a 70% dyed-in-the wool turn-based strategy gamer. Final Fantasy, Lunar, Breath of Fire... they're all fine games, and I own all of them (the PS incarnations anyway...) But give me a turn-based strategy with decent RPG elements (such as Brigandine and Giren's Ambition) and I'm the world's happiest camper.Q: I've read a lot of reviews that said this game is mediocre. Are you trying to tell me they are all wrong and you are right?
A: Yes.Q: You're full of shit. Brigandine sucks ass.
A: First, I want to complement your rapier wit; it is without parallel. Second, if you don't like the game, why are you visiting my web site? Third, some worlds just speak in certain ways to certain people. I'm one of those who considers Forsena his second home. There are many out there like me, and hopefully they will stop in to pay their respects in the reliquary from time to time.Q: Isn't typing verbatim the dialogues from the game kinda like copyright infringement?
A: I suppose it could be construed as much. My point in doing so is twofold: One, to present to die-hard fans how to get all the dialogues (and what they're missing if they can't get them) and Two, to give a manner of English guide to the Grand Edition. This is explained more in my GE section.
